blueperk: Fusion Fashion Show 2013 - FIT vs. Parsons For those of you who are not up to date with the two best fashion design schools in the US, they are FIT and Parsons. Each year these two schools hold a competition like the super bowl to decide which young designer will win a lucky prize to help their lines and bring awareness to their skills. In the past designers such as Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, and Chris Benz have won this competition. This year FIT won the award for best overall school, making it the sixth time since 2010. And K’Luu won overall for FIT and Maria Van Nguyen won for Parsons. The competition was fierce, but in the end all of the designers were winners for creating such great collections during their sophomore year of college.
